The Life of the Sacraments at Christ the King Chapel

“Behold, I am with you always”

When Christ ascended into heaven his presence on earth continued in the Church–its teaching, its shepherds, and its sacraments. Christ instituted the sacraments so that the Church might pour forth the divine life of God, blessing important moments in our lives and drawing us closer to God.

Apart from the regular schedule of Mass and reconciliation, Chapel Ministries offers:

null
Mass & Confession

Mass and Confession are offered frequently on campus during the school year. Please see the full schedule.

Infant Baptism

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni (special permission needed) who wish to have a new infant baptized in Christ the King Chapel should contact the Chapel Office. Due to the limited number of baptisms on campus, the Infant Baptism Preparation Program is conducted on an as-needed basis.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

Our OCIA program helps interested students, faculty, and staff to learn more about the Catholic Church and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Sessions generally begin in September, and they continue through the academic year. Those who are ready will be received into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Depending on readiness, this process may take more than one year.

OCIA sessions are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 P.M to 8:30 P.M. If interested, contact Becca McCue at [email protected].

Matrimony

The Marriage Preparation Program is available to students, faculty, and staff who are engaged and ready to prepare for marriage. Couples interested in registering for the Marriage Preparation Program must do so in Christ the King Chapel. Complete details and resources are available on our Marriage Preparation pages.

Confirmation

Students, faculty, and staff who were baptized in the Catholic Church but who have not yet been confirmed can prepare for confirmation within the campus RCIA program (see above).
